# Scopes reference

> What each cqk_ API key scope unlocks.

A key can carry any combination of these scopes. Mint with only what you need — the setup wizard and Key Console both let you pick scopes individually.

| Scope               | Unlocks                                                                            |
| ------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `devprogress:read`  | Lets the MCP read your XP status.                                                  |
| `devprogress:write` | Submit progress from your repos — required for Level 1.                            |
| `rhp:outcome`       | Record verified outcomes — payments, releases, evaluations — required for Level 2. |
| `obsidian:sync`     | Sync your Obsidian board — required for Level 3.                                   |

  A key with none of these scopes can authenticate but can't do anything useful — always pick at least one scope matching the level you're setting up.
